Hi, my name is Ian. My hobby is to learn about, design and build wooden engines as well as many other things. I have spent 13 years in construction, 10 years overhauling engines and now 2 years into my own carpentry business. I don't have or use a CNC machine, I don't sell plans (I don't know how to do that), I do have a beautiful wife and 7 kids (some of which you will see in some videos) Thank you for stopping by.
Radial engine vs Rotary engine
A little video showing what I have been working on for my next big videos throughly explaining the difference between a radial and a rotary, and how each one operates.

Slow Motion Radial Engine Explodes

Due to the interest in a previous high rpm spin of one of the radial engine models, I decided to build another engine with the sole purpose of spinning it faster and faster until it destroys itself.

Woww❤
Great job on building that thing. That's some good wookworking
Nice video, like!!!!!
Thank man… I watch a ton of WW2 movies and always wondered how those engines on planes works… appreciate your work. Steve
looks imponent and scary
Wow! You are crazy, but in a good way. I can't believe you did all that work just to blow it up. What a fun ride.
Excellent explanation. Thanks for your time and effort. The model is a superb teaching tool and you are a great teacher.
You should be proud 👏
How is the fuel introduced?
I dunno. I think you got some of it wrong.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo
How much you want for this
Awesome
Já dá pra fazer alguns compressores aí mesmo tempo 👍👈
Well done ! What a work of mechanical you have created. Outstanding! Thank you.
I was always curious how a radial engine worked and you explained perfectly. Your woodcraft is top top flight. This belongs in a museum somewhere. Maybe the Smithsonian
Very well built to stay together at those speeds, probably wouldn’t long though lol. Very cool, gives a good picture of what’s going on inside one.
Genius, incredible jet engine 🎉
Good job turning it over... but let me guess... it wooden start?
9 years ago and I'm just seeing this awesome video!!!
Holly shmooooooooookeeessss!!!
Excellent!
Beautiful!
This is why planes are mostly turboprop, turbojet or turbofan powered now.
Didn't explain the counter weight in the shaft during rotation of the cycle
Incredible. I want this one for my motorcycle.
😮mashallah
Wow. That runs better then my new bmw
Wow
*casually hooks up to a battery, puts a prop on it, and makes a whole airframe for it*
That was fun! What metal lathe do you have in the background? It look really nice!
Round 9 engine 😂
It's a Smooth operatiaaaannnn... SmooOOo00ooooooth operatiaaaAn 😅😂
Excelente trabajo no te quedes con el fonalo a una escuela para que algunos niños se les active la curiosidad y así podamos avansar
Whoa radical man
Awesome. 🎉
Very nice
Fantastic.
SPLINTERS
I was a mechanic in the Navy, and this is the best explanation of an engine I've ever seen. Thank you.
Cheer~~~~of or arranged like rays or the radii of a circle----diverging in lines from a common center.😊
How didn't that become a splinter bomb 😂
One week later gets destroyed by a P51 mustang
Peice of craftsmanship 😊
Like Doc Brown, he too is sorry for the crudity of his model. WOW!!!!!!
I've looked at a lot of cutaways but never realized that the camshaft ring gear moved in the opposite direction as the crankshaft.
New air conditioner
What is it's use?
Cut 2 cylinders off and put them on a motorcycle. Indian, Harley, Beull, Victory. Waaat?
Very well explained, I'm also staggered by the craftsmanship.
